Adult Bereavement

“In the night of death, hope sees a star and listening love can hear the rustle of a song”

Are you struggling with your grief after losing a loved one?  Hospice Support Care’s Adult Bereavement services are here to assist adults who are grieving the loss of a family member, friend, neighbor, co-worker.  In addition to serving the families of our patients, the program opportunities are open to anyone living in the greater Fredericksburg area, free of charge, to include:

  • Support groups and workshops;
  • Short-term individual bereavement counseling;
  • Bereavement packages detailing normal grief reactions and information about coping with grief;
  • Phone call support;
  • Follow-up notes;
  • Referrals to other bereavement and/or mental health resources in the community;
  • Lending library.

Persons interested in participating in any of the Adult Bereavement Services are encouraged to call the Adult Bereavement Coordinator with any questions and/or for more information.
